Who owns the Angel Shop? The Angel Society of Fallbrook. There are no paid directors or employees!

What is the purpose of the Angel Society?
|
The Society was established to support charitable projects and programs of community or social welfare serving, but not limited to, the greater Fallbrook area. Since its inception in 1978, the Angel Society has distributed more than $4 million in cash assistance.

How does the Angel Society generate funds?
|
Most of our funds are raised through sales at our Angel Shop. Our members help by paying annual dues and volunteering unpaid services to minimize overhead. We also receive memorial gifts and cash donations.

Who are the members of the Angel Society?
|
We are community volunteers. Currently, there are more than 500 members of the Angel Society. About 275 are active members who work one or more days per month in the shop. We select 36 of our members to serve on the Board of Directors.

What do members of the Angel Society's Board of Directors do?
|
Each board member works in the shop and directs the volunteer staff on specified days. They also serve on committees to manage all aspects of the business of the Angel Society. A key function is to disperse funds to non-profit organizations in the greater Fallbrook area.

Where does the merchandise for the Angel Shop come from?
|
Everything is donated. The Angel Shop is known as a worthwhile depository for good, reusable clothing and household items. The public has supported our charitable efforts for over three decades.

Are donations tax deductible?
|
Yes. The Angel Society is a non-profit 501C3 organization. We give donors a receipt.

Who shops at the Angel Shop?
|
We all do! The prices are great and it can be fun, since there is always something new and unexpected. We are proud that countless people clothe their families and acquire household items at affordable prices.

What is the Angel Society Donor Wall?
|
In 2007, we purchased the building we had been leasing for seven years. We have established a Building Fund. Our Donor Wall is located near the front entrance of the Angel Shop and recognizes our generous benefactors (see our donation form). We welcome your support!
